NCLR Administrative
Leadership Award Nominations Sought

The Scholarship/Awards Committee of the National Council for Learning Resources is seeking nominations for the 2009 NCLR Administrative Leadership Award. This award, which began in 1994, honors a community college administrator whose efforts have resulted in significant support for a library/learning resources program.

Presentation of the NCLR Administrative Leadership Award has become a highlight of the annual convention of the American Association of Community Colleges. The recipient receives a commemorative award and a $500 scholarship for his/her institution. Dr. Herlinda Glasscock, President of North Lake College, part of the Dallas County Community College District, in Irving, Texas was the 2007 recipient and Dr. Ronald Drayton, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Midlands Technical College, Columbia, South Carolina was the 2008 recipient.

We hope you will consider nominating an administrative colleague for the 2009 award which will be presented in Phoenix, AZ in April 2009. Only NCLR members may nominate an individual deserving of this recognition. A membership application can be accessed here.

Please review the award guidelines and send your nomination letter, including any letters of support, to David A Wright by November 30, 2008. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Wright via one of the avenues listed below:
