BLACKWOOD, LOUIS

BOHL, NATE -- My partner for this interview assignment is Nate Bohl. Nate is planning on majoring in the liberal arts program. His experience at SCC have been enjoyable so far. Nate really enjoys the instructors and the small classrooms. Nate spends his free time fly-fishing and doing other outdoor activities. When Nate thinks of writing, pain comes to his mind because it's hard for him to organize his thoughts into words. Nate's best reading experiences come from the newspaper and his worst experience came from a book called "The brave new world". Nate likes working in small groups because more ideas get  shared, Nate's special skill is that he is a team player, Two adjectives that best describe Nate are hard working and focused,  Nate is willing to put in the time and effort to get the job done, The River runs through it was the last novel Nate read, When it comes to reading the newspaper Nate reads only the Sunday edition. Before this class ends, Nate hopes to understand more of the things he reads. by Justin Lanphere

BUXBAUM, BLAKE --

Blake BuxBaum took a year off from school.  He then decided he should further his education by attending Spokane Community College.  As a freshmen at SCC, Blake is not quite sure what he wants to major in, but his goal, at this time, is to strive for a business degree.

So far, he has enjoyed his first week in English 96.  He hopes to gain writing and reading skills in this class.  Though he does not enjoy writing and views it as a painful experience, he enjoys reading.  He recently read the book “The Hobbit” and claimed it was “quite an adventure.”  However, he read “The Red Badge of Courage” and felt it was less than pleasurable to read.

Blake describes himself as smart and determined.  He stays fairly well informed on the latest current events, by reading the local news paper, at least twice a week.  Because Blake tends to be very motivated, along with having a great sense of humor, he believes that these qualities will be assets for working in a small groups and add to the quality of his group’s experience.   by Joshua R.   FABIO, JOSHUA --

Josh Fabio is busy individual, participating in soccer while attending SCC with a full schedule.  Josh may be a easy going and charismatic person, but that doesn’t take away from his determination to get things done.  Josh enjoys working in small groups because you get more done.  The only downside is that it involves more writing, which  according to Josh is painful for because his thought process isn’t the best.

When Josh isn’t busy with soccer of school he will get lost in a good novel.  Life Of Pi  is the best reading experience Josh has ever experienced.  He liked it because it kept his interest from beginning to end.  He explained that Lord Of the Rings  was his worst reading experience because it was to confusing for him.  If Josh cant find a good novel he will simply pick up the paper a few articles.

Josh would like to obtain more comprehension while in English 96.  He hopes to eventually receive is degree for Business. by Blake Buxbaum

  FRIER, BENJAMIN

HEDRICK, KORY -- When I  met my classmate Kory, I have found that we shared many of the same values and interests. For example, we both like hunting and of course, we both would like to improve our speed in reading. I would like very much to go hunting together sometime. He seems like a great guy. He also got a football scholarship to play football. by BLACKWOOD, LOUIS

aniflowe.gif (9114 bytes) HICKS, JOSHUA -- Joshua's major is  law enforcement. His classes at SCC have been easy for him  so far. He does not have any extra curricular activities. When he thinks of writing, he does not just think - he does it. His best reading experience was reading criminal justice. He thinks working in small groups is a good way to achieve better communication skills. His special skill to enhance a study group is providing a term to figure out the problem. Two adjectives that describe him are helpful and nice. He knows this because he always helps anyone that would need help. the last novel he read was a paperback novel by  Louis L'Amour. Joshua does not read the newspaper much. He hopes to achieve better reading skills from this class. by Steven Kern
