The Reflection Essay

portfolioportfolioportfolioportfolioportfolioportfolioportfolioportfolioportfolioportfolioportfolioptfolio

The final paper to include in your portfolio is a reflective essay. An essay of this sort discusses what you have learned as a student during your time in English 96. This is your opportunity to show who you are and what you care about; this piece should show the skills you have gained throughout the quarter. Some ideas you might incorporate, but you are not restricted to:

Ø what surprised you about youself as a reader

Ø what you still need to work on

Ø what you gained and/or loss

Ø who you are as a reader

Ø how your reading habits have changed

Ø what you would have done differently if you had the chance

Ø what was your best work? the worst?

Ø what were moments of failure, success, indecision, humor, frustration, happiness, sadness

Ø do you feel your actions had any impact on your skill

Ø what more do you need to do

Ø does this experience compliment or contrast with what you are doing in other classes? How?
