Final Presentation---Making Connections

For this presentation, it is important to keep the following ideas in mind as you and your group are planning:

What:

bullet Work as a team to develop the details of your final plan for your presentation.
bullet Make the presentation interactive, imaginative, multi-faceted, and make us use all of our intelligences and senses.

Why:

bullet Your first goal is to make the class want to read the poet by giving an understanding of setting, writer's background and style, theme of the work (and perhaps other works that have that same theme---was it like any of the poems we read?) and your critique as well as those of the critics. Show your knowledge of poetry here.
bullet Your second goal is to show us how the poet fits with the many ideas we have been exploring this quarter.

How:

bullet Use the text in as many ways as you can in your presentation.
bullet Utilize the work you do as individuals on your research papers. Show us some of the interesting angles you took.
bullet Use multi-media, a variety of approaches, and use the talent of your team.
bullet You want to make your presentation intriguing, well paced, interactive with the class, informative and most of all memorable. Each team will have 30-50 minutes.
bullet Points will be deducted from your presentation grade if all members of your team are not present for all presentations (2 points a day for each member absent). An audience is important to any presentation, as we well know.
bullet You will have to spend some time outside of class working on this project.
