Due Date: Monday of each week by 11:30 a.m.

Journal Expectations

Four days each week,  you will choose one of the assigned readings and write a summary of the work and then a personal reaction to it. Or you may decide to address one of the journal topics listed after each reading in TWS. In addition, you will try to draw connections between the readings and your own  experiences. These can be handwritten or typed.

At the end of the week, you will choose one of the week's entries, revise, and rewrite it. A rewritten journal entry should be between 300 and 600 words in length.  These will be turned in at the beginning of Monday's class. These typed journal entries (TJEs) will be minimally marked -- a wb01114_.gif (189 bytes) will receive 10 points, a + will receive 12 points and a ++ will receive 14 points. The more energy you put into the journal the higher the score.   In addition, please keep all of your journal entries, both handwritten and typed, together in one small binder, as I will collect them at the end of the quarter.
