English 100 Portfolio Assessment

Spring 2002

Description:

A portfolio is a collection of your writing that provides an accurate window into your strengths and weaknesses as a writer. Twice during the quarter, your writing will be evaluated by English Department Faculty other than your instructor. Readers will be examining your ability to organize and develop ideas effectively as well as your competence in using Standard English and MLA documentation.

Grading:

Students who meet the standards for their portfolio work will be eligible for grades of 2.0 or better in the course. Students whose portfolio work does not meet minimum standards will not be eligible for grades of 2.0 or better in the course
