Copy this form into your word processor.  In Word, paste special, as unformatted text, or you will have to work around the boxes.  For each statement that is not a thesis statement, rewrite it so that it qualifies as one.  Send these rewritten statements to your groups for their feedback. Be sure to use the Thesis Handout to help with understanding the attributes of the thesis. The final revised copy should be emailed as a .rtf document on Monday, 1/26/04.  Good luck!

  12. After finishing this exercise, take a few moments and discuss what you understand about thesis statements and their relevance to the essay. Three or four sentences would be sufficient.
