Here you will find the coursework we have completed thus far in the quarter, as well as anticipated work.  Each week I will add the completed week to this list.

Week 1: Introductions (1/5-9)

bulletbullet Class meeting, Thurs., Jan. 8, Room 1220 G, Old Main.  3:30-6:30 In-class diagnostic essay Students will be assigned an interview partner. The partners will interview each other and exchange email addresses.
bulletbullet For homework, each partner will write a profile of the partner based on the interview. These should be sent to the partner for correction or clarification. The final product will be sent to the instructor for posting on the class home page by the first Monday after the initial class.

bulletbullet W &T: On Wednesday and Thursday read and comment upon your peer partner's essay. Exchange your draft with your partners to receive peer comments -- use this edit sheet.
bullet You must contribute a draft to your group to participate in this activity. You will not receive  FB points if I have not received a copy of your draft, and when finished, a copy of your feedback.
bullet Return essay with your comments to author by Thursday midnight.

bulletbullet You are then to write your own "how to" essay explaining some sort of process that you have experience with -- but to add a little flair to this, I want you to be creative and write the opposite of your experience. Read process handout for more information.

IMPORTANT NOTE --From this point on,  the items listed below are ideal dates and time--DO NOT try to live by these times, as they may change as we progress in class.  Some assignments may be discarded and others may be added. Moreover, the times are  NOT accurate, so please do not tell me they are incorrect, as I already know that!

Week 6: Cause and Effect

bullet survey at least ten people with at least ten questions...if you want me to I will look at your questions before you ask them--if you want to pair or team up with others, the better your results will be
