Use the following form to help you understand thesis statements.  Rewrite the ones that do not follow the rules listed on the Thesis Practice handout.  (Only one of these is correct.)

  1. Who are you?
    Name
    E-mail
  2. Writing email is required for some classes.


  3. If you like computers, you will like my ideas about the topic and how they shouldn't be used in the classroom.


  4. I am going to write about computers and school and their importance in the classroom.


  5. Understanding computers might be important for students.


  6. Using the Internet is common today for many people.


  7. Watching television is stupid and shouldn't be encouraged by anyone.


  8. MTV is popular with some teens.


  9. X-Files is watched by many people.


  10. Knowing how to use email is important and necessary to the modern student.


  11. The purpose of this paper is to inform the reader about how important email is.


  12. Children shouldn't be allowed to use Internet as it is bad for their health and causes them to have bad breath.
